Trains operate between Hanoi and Lao Cai station, about 35 km from Sapa. They leave Hanoi at 10pm each day and they take from 7.5 to 8.5 hours to reach Lao Cai. From this station, it is more than another hour of driving to reach Sapa town.
Get on the night train from Hanoi and welcome to Sapa – a beautiful northern mountainous highland surrounding by magnificent nature and authentic ethnic minority lives. In Sapa, we will pass by magnificent nature scene and go trekking to remote villages where ethnic minorities live to understand their local real life & custom. The trekking route is pleasant and it is great to capture wonderful photos of fogs, rice terraces, beautiful scenery and daily residents’ life on the way.
Day 4:Sapa - Fansipan - Overnight on train
Giang Ta Chai village is home to the Red Dzao who wear plain black trousers and a long black tunic with embroidered cuffs and lapels. To trek to Giang Ta Chai, you will set off on an 18km trek through terraced rice paddies, bamboo forest and stunning waterfalls. Red Zao minority people are the second biggest group of hill minority people in Sapa in Vietnam. Stepping into Ha Long and enjoying a night on a Ha Long cruise is a must-see if you want your trip to be more meaningful. If up to now you only knew how to stick with the bed at the hotel, now try the feeling of being floating on the surface of Ha Long sea to enjoy the fresh and airy atmosphere. Guests can choose to sleep overnight on Ha Long cruise, this experience will definitely give your trip more meaning, impression, and novelty amidst the vast ocean space. Experiencing 1 night on Ha Long cruise, you will enjoy a unique and luxurious space. Especially, when you wake up in the morning, you can experience many interesting activities that the yacht brings to tourists such as tai-chi, breathing the fresh air of the sea.
Day 6:Halong bay - Hanoi (Brunch)
Day 7:Hanoi - Hue
It seems that every city in Vietnam can do tourism, because each place has its very own natural picture, along with unique culture and history. Hue is a typical example. This land, despite experiencing many ups and downs of time and the fluctuations of the country, still retains its ancient, gentle and dignified look. However, Hue not only has the relics of the golden age but also possesses many beautiful landscapes that harmonize between passes, clouds, rivers and mountains. Hue cuisine is a combination of the common features of Central cuisine and the distinctive features of the ancient capital.
Day 8:Hue sightseeing
A visit to Hue would not be complete without a boat excursion on the gentle Perfume River, or else you cannot feel the romance of Hue .The Perfume River (Vietnamese: Sông Hương or Hương Giang) is a river that crosses the capital city of Hue, in the central Vietnamese province of Thua Thien Hue. Perfume or Huong River is around 80 kilometers long, and owes its name to the fact that it flows through many forests of aromatic plants before reaching Hue, bringing with it a pure and fresh aroma.
Day 9:Hue - Danang - Hoian
It is no exaggeration to compare Hoi An as an ancient pearl full of charm when it comes to the tourist map of Central Vietnam. Hoi An is an accompanying destination not to be missed in the journey to major cities such as Da Nang, Nha Trang, Hue. You will stay 1 night in Hoi An to enjoy the vibrant nightlife when the lanterns are lighten up. This city on the central Vietnamese coast is a well-preserved example of the important Southeast Asian trading port it was from the 15th-19th centuries. Already a common stop for backpackers, it is becoming better known to tourists. On the 14th day of each lunar month, the town trades its electric lights for traditional coloured lanterns. Sights include the Japanese Covered Bridge and the Quan Cong Temple. Let the town’s expert tailors make you some bespoke clothing.
Day 10:Hoi An - My Son holyland
My Son was built by the Champa people some 1,500 years ago and it shows their strong Buddhist beliefs : lots of Sanskrit inscriptions, statues and Shiva lingas. Apparently it was a large site with more than 70 temples, but a lot got destroyed by American bombs when the Vietcong hid in it. Only a couple now remain more or less intact. Restorations are ongoing with involvement of the Indian and Japanese governments. Obviously it bears no comparison with Angkor Wat, but I thoroughly enjoyed visiting the site. It's a pity the local Vietnamese seem to have very little interest in this important cultural heritage site.
Day 11:Hoi An - Saigon
If Hanoi is considered an ancient city, with a slow pace of life, then Ho Chi Minh City is a dynamic city with bustling streets, cuisine combining quintessence from many regions and generous people. From morning to evening, there is no shortage of entertainment activities suitable for all ages. While exploring the bustling streets of Ho Chi Minh City, the temples are a place you rarely pay attention to. However, this is where the mysteries of this beautiful city are hidden.

Can Tho is the capital of the Southwest region, also known as the land of Tay Do.
