Day 1:Hanoi - Lao Cai - Overnight on Train

Get started: Dream Travel's car pick up at your hotel in Old Quater and transfer to Hanoi Railway Station for the night train to get to Laocai Station. Overnight on the train ( cabin of 4 soft sleepers or private cabin of 2 berths upon request).

Experience overnight train from Hanoi to Sapa

The overnight train from Hanoi to Sapa is one of the most popular experiences which tourists often seek for when planning a trip to this mountainous destination. Trains operate between Hanoi and Lao Cai station, about 35 km from Sapa. They leave Hanoi at 10pm each day and they take from 7.5 to 8.5 hours to reach Lao Cai. From this station, it is more than another hour of driving to reach Sapa town.

Day 2:Lao Cai - Sapa - Treking to Cat Cat & Sin Chai village

12 km trekking to explore the beauty of Sapa with rice terrance fields, ethnic nimorities

6 : 00 am - Arrive at Laocai train station. Welcome by your local guide and driver. Transfer to your hotel. Have breakfast and a shower at hotel. Trek around 12 km to visit two villages of the Black H'mong (Catcat and SinChai). Enjoy a picnic lunch by a waterfall and see the hydroelectric power station established by the French. Walk from Catcat back to Sapa. Dinner at a local restaurant. Overnight at your chosen hotel in Sapa

Day 3:Sapa - Treking to Lao Chai - Ta Van - Giang Ta Chai villages - Lao Cai

17 km trekking to explore the beauty of Sapa with rice terrance fields, ethnic nimorities, overnight on train

Breakfast at the hotel. Head for the valley by car to visit two villages of the H'mong and the Dzay. Picnic lunch en route or with a local family. Visit the Red Dzao in GiangTa Chai village, stopping off to see a picturesque waterfall and suspension bridge. Walk up to the road and take the jeep back to Sapa. Dinner at a local restaurant. Transfer to Laocai train station for boarding the Express to Hanoi (20:35 - 4:45). Arrive Hanoi Railway Station on the next day. End of the trip

Hike to explore Giang Ta Chai Village

Giang Ta Chai village is home to the Red Dzao who wear plain black trousers and a long black tunic with embroidered cuffs and lapels. To trek to Giang Ta Chai, you will set off on an 18km trek through terraced rice paddies, bamboo forest and stunning waterfalls. Red Zao minority people are the second biggest group of hill minority people in Sapa in Vietnam. From the moment we were picked up, we knew we would have fun. Great sense of humour, great with all the family. And what a tour. We did a customized package with contact initially from the Facebook page and then via WhatsApp. What we wanted to do was not part of the tours but they managed to fit it in. Great food. An amazing home stay. A great experience all round. Highly recommended.
