Day 0:Hanoi departure
The overnight train from Hanoi to Sapa is one of the most popular experiences which tourists often seek for when planning a trip to this mountainous destination. Trains operate between Hanoi and Lao Cai station, about 35 km from Sapa. They leave Hanoi at 10pm each day and they take from 7.5 to 8.5 hours to reach Lao Cai. From this station, it is more than another hour of driving to reach Sapa town.

If you are looking for beautiful scenes in Sapa to check in, then come to Ta Phin village right away. Ta Phin is like a princess sleeping in the forest, that princess with pure and rustic beauty but makes anyone's heart flutter. Ta Phin village is poetic with endless terraced fields. It has caves, Ta Phin monastery, and traditional craft villages.
Day 2:Ta Phin - Ma Tra - Sapa

Silver Waterfall is far about 15 kilometers from Sapa toward Lai Chau; tourists take approximately 30 minutes by motorbike or bus to visit one of the most beautiful waterfalls in Vietnam. The scenery along the way, the pine forest, and the 'su su' spread over the hills. With more than 100 meters high, white water poured down the stream. Walk up 400 steps to the top. There are plenty to views on the way up and down for photo sessions. The water has a pristine look to it. There are various wild plantain and cardamom trees on both sides. Guests can soak in the cool stream, wash all worries, chat, and relax under the shade of green trees.

Arrive at Laocai railway station. Welcome by your local guide and driver, have breakfast at the restaurant then travel by car downhill to Mong Sen, where you start trekking uphill through a mountainous area by following a dirt trail. En route, you will have many opportunities to enjoy spectacular views over rice paddy terraces and cornfields. You will make a stop for lunch at a nice spot.
After lunch, the trek will continue by going downhill toward Ta Phin village where you can meet Red Dao and Black Hmong minorities, two largest ethnic groups in Sapa. Your guide will tell you about daily life and tradition of these two people. Here you stay overnight in local house. You will be able to take a walk around the village while your guide prepares dinner.

Once your breakfast finished, you will be heading toward Sapa. You will pass through several minority villages along the way. The walk through rice paddy terraces is very enjoyable. You then stop by Ma Tra village of Black Hmong, where your lunch will be served atop a hill.
After lunch, you take a walk under the shadow of pine trees as well as a short walk from side to side of the town of Sapa. Check-in the hotel. Dinner at the local restaurant. Overnight at your chosen hotel in Sapa.
